The coconut fallacy! How many Americans have actually been killed by coconuts this year? No one, nor has anyone ever been killed by one.

But plenty of Americans have been mauled and killed by pit bulls this year. So you actually don't have a bigger chance at being killed by coconuts.

I notice their shirts ask: When will they blame the humans? How about now! How about let's blame the humans mostresponsible for pit bulls continuing to attack and kill people Just last night, a 4-year old Florida boy was killed by two pit bulls that got loose somehow from their kennels. Now, normally, dogs getting loose from a kennel wouldn't result in a horrible, violent death of a 4 year old, but let's face it, this breed is not normal in the sense that if 2 poodles got loose from a kennel, the 4 year old boy would still be alive.

So let's blame the humans responsible: Let's blame pit bull advocates who continue to lie and misinform about this breed. Let's blame the pit bull advocates who continue to try to sell the American public on a breed that attacks or kills a person, or another beloved pet, every single day in this country.

Let's blame the pit bull advocates who have perpetuated the myth that these are nanny dogs, and because of that lie continue to get children mauled or killed

Let's blame the pit bull advocate who refuse to give people honest information about this breed. Who, unlike other breed enthusiasts, refuse to tell people that this breed isn't for everyone.

Let's blame the pit bull advocates, who continue to try to push legislation that prevents states, cities and municipalities from protecting themselves against breed.

Let's blame the pit bull advocates who continue to put a dog breed before human life.

Let's blame the pit bull advocates who are so busy defending this breed that they refuse to come up with solutions to help prevent more attacks and killings.

Let's blame the pit bull advocates who won't push owners to spay and neuter their dogs. So while we are at it, let's blame pit bull advocates for the overpopulation of this breed in shelters. And let's blame them for the million pit bull deaths a year as well.

The simple truth is this: Just because these people love this breed, doesn't make them experts on how to effectively advocate for it. In fact, they are dong a horrible job, not only in keeping pit bulls safe and secure, but also in protecting the public against their breed of choice. This mess is their fault. They are horrible at their job. And they need to be shunned and fired and the grown ups need to step in and clean up their mess.

Oh I blame humans all right. I blame the people who have taken up this breed's cause and failed the dogs and the public miserably!
